A burst of vibrant colors and joyous sounds filled Northern Parkway's auditorium as families celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Children in traditional attire shared stories about the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil and performed a traditional dance teaching everyone the significance of this important Hindu holiday. The evening ended with tasty samples of Indian cuisine as well as tasty sweet treats.
